Hailing from Montreal, Canada, Richard's career has spanned the full spectrum of production work.

He's produced over 35 albums, from Heavy Metal, Reggae, Blues, Bollywood, Bhangra, Rock and Roll, New Age, Jazz, Pop and Garage, and hundreds of TV and radio commercials.

As a musician he’s played on over 170 recordings and performed in 28 countries on 5 continents. He has composed for a myriad of artists, television series, news and current affairs programs and commercials, and provided the sound design for a number of Hollywood films including An American Werewolf in London, Superman II, III & IV, and Flash Gordon. Richard is also Managing Director of Meringue Productions, a company that licenses children’s intellectual properties for adaptation to the Inflight Entertainment platform and provides content for international long haul flight airlines.

He also lectures at Norwich University College of the Arts, Kingston University, Tech Music School, and University of West London. He is Chief Executive Officer of the Music Producers Guild, and is a PhD candidate in Ethnomusicology at City University, London.
